A message from Bürgermeister Dölker

 

Mayor Wilfried Dölker"On September 30, 1996, Crystal Lake and Holzgerlingen became official Sister Cities. The founding ceremony in Holzgerlingen drew a crowd of several hundred citizens to the City Hall.

 

The purpose of a partnership between cities is to explore and maintain common interests and to learn from our differences. You can experience the way of life and thinking in your Sister City and find out about personal and historical backgrounds. Without such a connection, our citizens could travel to foreign countries but would miss the family life, the clubs, the schools and the personal friendships beyond borders.

 

I hope and wish, especially for our young citizens, that the partnership between our cities continues to flourish."
